A multiplicity of religions exists in the world, all claiming to hold the truth (or at least some truth) about who we are, how we got here, what we're doing, and where we're going. Billions of people believe in Christianity, while others embrace Islam. Some are Hindu and others are Buddhist. Amidst it all, many are atheist, or at the very least agnostic. So how are we to think and what are we to do in this massive marketplace of religious ideas?

David Platt elaborates in the new Secret Church: A Global Gospel in a World of Religions DVD study Wednesday nights starting January 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

The Myanmar Mission Team will be on the field through December 12. Please be in prayer for this team: Larry Kendall, Dick Stroup, Lamar Haltiwanger and Pastor Eric Wooten.

This year we are supporting the Gideons International "Birthday for Jesus" card program. This program is designed to give a Christmas card to Jesus and, when doing so, an opportunity is afforded the giver to also give financially for the exclusive purchase and distribution of His Word throughout the world.

There will be a table in the main hallway manned by a Gideons representative before Sunday School and between Sunday School and worship Sunday, December 11. We are suggesting that the cards be hung on the giver's home Christmas tree.

Please remember to notify the church office at 864-244-2975 of any changes, new addresses, phone numbers, contact information, etc. Notifying us of these changes helps us keep our database current and keeps returned literature postage costs down. Thanks for your help!

KAIROS Prison Ministry is an ecumenical Christian ministry designed for use in state and federal men's and women's correctional institutions in the United States and throughout the world.

The purpose of KAIROS is to establish a strong Christian community among the residents of correctional institutions. This is done by the presentation of a 3-day short course in Christianity. It is presented by an interdenominational team of about 55 persons for a group of 42 residents. The chaplain carefully selects the inmates from the prison population. The ideal recruits are those residents who are presently the leaders in the institution. There, they become Christ's agents for change in their environment that ultimately can bring about change in the attitude and quality of life for the entire institution.

The primary goal of the KAIROS ministry is to teach those who attend the weekend to become part of a share and prayer group. This allows them to share their lives on deep spiritual level and pray for one-another.

The South Carolina KAIROS website gives much more information, and Ed Chandler will be glad to talk to you further about how you can be involved. Please contact Ed at (864) 244-9153. You can also see a recent Post and Courier article on how KAIROS makes such a difference in men's lives!

Be sure to Like the Women's Ministry on Facebook!

You can help other adults improve their reading, writing, math or computer skills, or you can teach English as a second language to people from all over the world. No prior teaching experience is required. For more information, please call 467-3456 or visit www.greenvilleliteracy.org.

For the safety of our Weekday children and our Church Staff, our Receptionist will not be allowing anyone in the building that she does not recognize. She will speak to those outside the door by intercom before letting them into the building. We do not want to offend anyone, but we are implementing these measures to offset any possible dangerous scenarios. Thank you for your understanding!

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

John 14:6

It is ERBC's vision to provide a house - shelter - for families to transition into permanent housing. Several years ago God blessed ERBC with 60 acres on the corner of Devenger and Hudson Roads. Not only did He provide land for the future ministry expansion; He provided 3 existing houses on the same property. The Devenger House at 205 Devenger Road (near the ERBC soccer fields) has been under renovation for over a year. The goal is to allow local ministries (GAIHN) to use the Devenger House to transition families without a home into permanent housing. Thanks to many ERBC members who have donated their time, talent and treasure to prepare this house. Pray to see how God would use you!

Mom's Day Out for babies through 2 year olds and K-3 through K-5 is open to the public. Please call 292-0194 for more information, and you can also visit our website.

The South Carolina Heart Gallery is a photo exhibit displayed in the main hallway that features adoptable children from the SC foster care system. Local photographers donate their time and services to photograph the waiting children. The Heart Gallery basically puts a face on the need by letting people see these children's faces in the photos.  The goal is to raise awareness of the need for adoptive families and to hopefully find homes for these kids by letting their personalities shine through the pictures.
