Comedy team Bean and Bailey comes to ERBC Sunday night, July 20 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This hilarious duo will entertain us with their family-friendly humor, and we will enjoy an Ice Cream Social immediately afterwards. Invite your friends to this fun night!

Bring your own ice cream and some to share! The Church will provide toppings and drinks. Look for bulletin inserts and sign up to show whether you will be bringing store-bought or homemade ice cream so we can be prepared.

We will incorporate an Overflow Service for Sunday School classes in the Student Center on Sunday mornings while we renovate. There will be live music and preaching in the Student Center, and here is the class schedule:
July 27: Sorrells, McNair, Allen, Broughton/Williams; August 3: Halbert, Compton, Lockhart/Maurer; August 10: Howe, Henderson/Rincon, Stroup/Rincon, Alewine; August 17: Hopper, Stoup/Bridges, Health/Martin

We are in need of at least two leaders for our 4K/5K choir that meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Children's Choirs begin on August 27, so if you would be able to help in this ministry, please contact Pastor Clay at 244-2975, ext. 116 for more information. Thanks!

The Torchbearers Senior Adult Ministry highlights service, participation, fellowship, and trips/activities in 2013. The Ministry focuses on persons 55 years of age and older and encourages service outside the church, inside the church, and to the ministry itself as well as opportunities for participation in church events, fellowship, and travel.

Our next gathering will be held on July 21, when The Pitchhitters, an incredibly talented men's chorus group, returns by popular demand to present a program of patriotic music. Doug Young is their Director, and the group is based here in Greenville.

The Torchbearers Ladies' Salt Shaker Luncheon will be held August 8 at 11:30 a.m. at City Range on Haywood Road. Please sign up at the Ministry Information Table located in the main hallway outside the church offices. Contact Yvonne Eaves at 414-6277 or Pat Billings at 244-2975, ext. 125 for additional information.
If transportation is a problem for any reason, contact Pat Billings to arrange transportation. Lack of transportation should not prevent you from attending.

Secret Church, a DVD-driven Bible teaching study featuring David Platt, author of Radical, will be held July 27, August 3, 10 and 17 at 6:00 p.m. in the Student Center. No childcare will be provided; this study is only for Middle School Students through Adults. Sign up in the Main Hallway. Study guides are limited to the first 100 to sign up.

The id Class event is an informal and relaxed time for prospective members to learn about the doctrine, stewardship and membership expectations of ERBC. The meeting will be held Sunday, July 27 at 5:00 p.m. at the Rayburns' home. Please contact Angela Yeargin at 244-2975, ext. 141 or by email for reservations.

Beginning Wednesday evening, August 6 we will offer the parenting course for women, Shepherding a Child's Heart. Biblical parenting is about leading our children to change and grow, and to do that we must address the heart. Otherwise we will attempt nothing more than manipulative behavior modification that results in our children responding to a new idol rather than our loving Lord.

This will be a 15-week course meeting at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday. Cost for the course is $20 and includes both the book Shepherding a Child's Heart and the parent's handbook that goes along with it. The course includes DVD and live teaching and discussion. Angie Ownbey will be leading the course. To register, please pay at the Receptionist's Desk in the Main Office during the week, or you can sign up at the registration table in the Main Hallway and give your money to Gene or Angie Ownbey on Sundays or Wednesdays. Please complete your registration by Wednesday, July 30.

Children of the Day: 1st and 2nd Thessalonians by Beth Moore
The Holy Spirit shines bright through you... Grocery shopping, strolling through a park, grabbing coffee - you are never without His light. The New Testament believers carried the Spirit of God as they walked along the shores of Thessalonica, just as you carry that light today. During this nine week study, you'll learn how to let go of past mistakes and discover your circumstances are not coincidental - God's timing is impeccable! Whether you're facing family crises, medical diagnoses, relationship troubles, doubts, or fears, you'll come away encouraged that even though it may not feel that way, you are exactly where Christ wants you to be! Books are $16, and the study will be led by Donna Medcalf on Sunday evenings beginning September 7.

Worship Choir and Orchestra practices start Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. after the Midweek Prayer Service. Now is a great time to start the summer practicing with us! Check ERBCMusic.com for more information.

The twentyfourseven Outreach Evangelism Training will continue Wednesday, July 23 in the Music Suite. Please make plans to come and reach out to our community!

Flags are hanging in the Sanctuary to remind you to pray for the missionaries in the states and countries that they represent: USA, SC, Alaska, Nigeria, Romania, Kenya, Hungary, South Africa, and the Philippines.

Dr. Victor Benavides did a tremendous job with his initial 2 weeks of training. The first week's video is available on YouTube as well as the second week's video.

Please pray for the Bodoloskys as they obey the Lord's call to missions. Find out more about their ministry or Google 10bodos.

Download a Missions Application to fill out in preparation for any trip you would like to make.

Our ministry for this month is Duffel Bags or Backpacks for Foster Children. Items can be placed in the yellow box in the church foyer. We always appreciate any help from the ladies of the church with our ministry.

The Women's Ministry reaches out on the second Friday of each month to go to Shepherd's Gate and minister to the ladies (and their children) that are currently housed there. If your class hasn't visited Shepherd's Gate yet, please consider doing so. If it's been a while, would you consider doing it again? Don't let lack of finances hinder you. Please contact Valerie Robertson by email or call 419-7438.

The ERBC Medical Team works in conjunction with the Safety Team so our members can worship and serve in a safe environment that is well equipped with professionals who can assist in case of emergency. Each Sunday morning team consists of two doctors, one nurse and one dentist or dentist professional. Additions to the team could include paramedics, EMTs, or physician's assistants currently working in the medical field. The Medical Team of doctors and dentist will serve a two week rotation, and nurses, EMTs, paramedics and other members will serve one week rotations. Please contact Amanda Hopper at 590-4503 for more information on how you can serve.

KAIROS Prison Ministry is an ecumenical Christian ministry designed for use in state and federal men's and women's correctional institutions in the United States and throughout the world.

The purpose of KAIROS is to establish a strong Christian community among the residents of correctional institutions. This is done by the presentation of a 3-day short course in Christianity. It is presented by an interdenominational team of about 55 persons for a group of 42 residents. The chaplain carefully selects the inmates from the prison population. The ideal recruits are those residents who are presently the leaders in the institution. There, they become Christ's agents for change in their environment that ultimately can bring about change in the attitude and quality of life for the entire institution.

The primary goal of the KAIROS ministry is to teach those who attend the weekend to become part of a share and prayer group. This allows them to share their lives on deep spiritual level and pray for one-another.

The South Carolina KAIROS website gives much more information, and Ed Chandler will be glad to talk to you further about how you can be involved. Please contact Ed at (864) 244-9153.

Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand

Isaiah 41:10

It is ERBC’s vision to provide a house – shelter – for families to transition into permanent housing. Several years ago God blessed ERBC with 60 acres on the corner of Devenger and Hudson Roads. Not only did He provide land for the future ministry expansion; He provided 3 existing houses on the same property. The Devenger House at 205 Devenger Road (near the ERBC soccer fields) has been under renovation for over a year. The goal is to allow local ministries (GAIHN) to use the Devenger House to transition families without a home into permanent housing. Thanks to many ERBC members who have donated their time, talent and treasure to prepare this house. Pray to see how God would use you!

Mom’s Day Out for babies through 2 year olds and K-3 through K-5 is open to the public. Please call 292-0194 for more information, and you can also visit our website.

The South Carolina Heart Gallery is a photo exhibit displayed in the main hallway that features adoptable children from the SC foster care system. Local photographers donate their time and services to photograph the waiting children. The Heart Gallery basically puts a face on the need by letting people see these children’s faces in the photos.  The goal is to raise awareness of the need for adoptive families and to hopefully find homes for these kids by letting their personalities shine through the pictures.

You're not alone! At our Sarcoma Support Group you'll find:
