WOMEN'S MINISTRY PARTY WITH A PURPOSE

ERBC will host residents of Miracle Hill's Shepherd's Gate and The Renewal Program for Party with a Purpose Friday, January 26, 2018. Party with a Purpose will host 64 ladies who are broken and down, homeless and some fighting addictions. The Party gives ALL ERBC ladies an opportunity to love like Jesus on some that may seem unloveable, yet still all are created by our Lord and are in need of a Savior. Party with a Purpose is a night of pampering and loving on these ladies with several opportunities to share the Gospel!

So how can you help?:
• Accessories Drop-Off is now open! There are bins in the main hallway just waiting for your donations. Drop off clean and barely used jewelry, (working) watches, scarves, handbags and wallets anytime until January 12, 2018.
• Do you know of a boutique or jewelry store (or friends) that might be interested in donating? Let us know!
• Would you be willing to bake a cake, cookies, brownies, fruit, or your favorite dessert? The evening will be filled with ERBC sweetness!
• 64 ladies will be our largest group hosted by PWP. We need a lot of volunteers. Mid-November we will have Committee signups in the main hallway. Please volunteer to love and pamper these ladies for Jesus.
• PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!

Thank you, ERBC once again as we stretch our comfort zones in our local community. Contact Peggy Murray by email or 864-569-3662 for more information.

MORE KAIROS PRISON MINISTRY INFO

KAIROS Prison Ministry is an ecumenical Christian ministry designed for use in state and federal men's and women's correctional institutions in the United States and throughout the world.

The purpose of KAIROS is to establish a strong Christian community among the residents of correctional institutions. This is done by the presentation of a 3-day short course in Christianity. It is presented by an interdenominational team of about 55 persons for a group of 42 residents. The chaplain carefully selects the inmates from the prison population. The ideal recruits are those residents who are presently the leaders in the institution. There, they become Christ's agents for change in their environment that ultimately can bring about change in the attitude and quality of life for the entire institution.

The primary goal of the KAIROS ministry is to teach those who attend the weekend to become part of a share and prayer group. This allows them to share their lives on deep spiritual level and pray for one-another.

The South Carolina KAIROS website gives much more information, and Ed Chandler will be glad to talk to you further about how you can be involved. Please contact Ed at (864) 244-9153. You can also see a recent Post and Courier article on how KAIROS makes such a difference in men's lives!

THE HEART GALLERY

The South Carolina Heart Gallery is a photo exhibit displayed in the main hallway that features adoptable children from the SC foster care system. Local photographers donate their time and services to photograph the waiting children. The Heart Gallery basically puts a face on the need by letting people see these children's faces in the photos.  The goal is to raise awareness of the need for adoptive families and to hopefully find homes for these kids by letting their personalities shine through the pictures.
