According to Greenville County, the 6-foot-wide pipe under Edwards Road near Richbourg Road was undermined by the recent storm and has failed. It was scheduled for repair next year but has now been bumped up to expedited status. They currently anticipate the road will be closed for several weeks for repair, so please use the Highway 29/Arundel Road/Botany Road/Edwards Road (near the Dunkin' Donuts intersection) or the Howell Road/Imperial Drive/Botany Road/Rollingbridge Drive (near Camperdown Academy) accesses.

The WMU (Women's Missionary Union) is collecting backpacks and school supplies for students in need at Lake Forest Elementary School. There is a collection bin in the hallway near the Library. Please consider helping the students with your donations to this worthy cause. For questions, please call Jane Gregory at 864 884-6947.

The Missionary Focus Group will not meet in July.

Weekday Early Education continues their Summer Camp at 9:00 a.m. weekly Tuesdays and Wednesdays through August 9. For more information contact Renee Blackwelder in the Preschool Office at 292-0194 or email her.

Summer Community Groups are a great place to make new friends, go deeper in your walk with the Lord and further connect with ERBC members. Groups will meet Wednesday nights through August 9. If you have any questions, you can email Abi Elrod. Continue to pray for another great summer!

The next outing will be a day trip to Hagood Mill outside Pickens on August 19 for the Rolling Waterwheel Gospel Review, the 1845 gristmill, and miscellaneous craftsman exhibits. Lunch will be provided at $7 per person. Sign-ups in the main hallway will close August 13. Bus will leave at 10:00 a.m. returning around 4:00 p.m. Please pay the fee to Pat Billings in the church office, deposit in a church envelope in the secure mail slot beside the Pastor's Office, or place in the collection plate with name, event, and amount.

Save the date for a Lake Keowee outing on Monday, September 25. Details to follow. If transportation is a problem for any reason, contact Pat Billings in the church office at 864-244-2975, ext. 125 to arrange transportation. Lack of transportation should not prevent you from attending.

We welcome our new members Dillon and Olivia Medlin (Sorrells/Swartzel Class) by Letter.

In addition to interactions with friends and up to date information, did you know you can give online through The City? If you are not on The City, contact Communications/IT Director Barry Brown at 244-2975, ext. 112 or by email.

Looking for ways to serve in your community and beyond? Take a look at the announcements below and contact Abi by email.

Please be praying for Greg and Cathy Gratz as they minister to the Alaskan people through GraceWorks until August 6. You can pick up a prayer card in the main hallway to remind you to pray for them this summer.

The pray4everyhome.com program is a collaborative prayer effort of many believers to pray for every household - by name. Typically, out of 100 of your closest neighbors, 60 of them do not know Jesus as Savior. To pray for your neighbors by name visit pray4everyhome.com.

KAIROS Prison Ministry is an ecumenical Christian ministry designed for use in state and federal men's and women's correctional institutions in the United States and throughout the world.

The purpose of KAIROS is to establish a strong Christian community among the residents of correctional institutions. This is done by the presentation of a 3-day short course in Christianity. It is presented by an interdenominational team of about 55 persons for a group of 42 residents. The chaplain carefully selects the inmates from the prison population. The ideal recruits are those residents who are presently the leaders in the institution. There, they become Christ's agents for change in their environment that ultimately can bring about change in the attitude and quality of life for the entire institution.

The primary goal of the KAIROS ministry is to teach those who attend the weekend to become part of a share and prayer group. This allows them to share their lives on deep spiritual level and pray for one-another.

The South Carolina KAIROS website gives much more information, and Ed Chandler will be glad to talk to you further about how you can be involved. Please contact Ed at (864) 244-9153. You can also see a recent Post and Courier article on how KAIROS makes such a difference in men's lives!

Be sure to Like the Women's Ministry on Facebook!

You can help other adults improve their reading, writing, math or computer skills, or you can teach English as a second language to people from all over the world. No prior teaching experience is required. For more information, please call 467-3456 or visit www.greenvilleliteracy.org.

For the safety of our Weekday children and our Church Staff, our Receptionist will not be allowing anyone in the building that she does not recognize. She will speak to those outside the door by intercom before letting them into the building. We do not want to offend anyone, but we are implementing these measures to offset any possible dangerous scenarios. Thank you for your understanding!

Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the Name that is above every name,
that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, in Heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:9-11

The South Carolina Heart Gallery is a photo exhibit displayed in the main hallway that features adoptable children from the SC foster care system. Local photographers donate their time and services to photograph the waiting children. The Heart Gallery basically puts a face on the need by letting people see these children's faces in the photos.  The goal is to raise awareness of the need for adoptive families and to hopefully find homes for these kids by letting their personalities shine through the pictures.
