Pastor of Student Ministries John Freeman
Hi, my name is John Wayne Freeman, and I love Jesus! I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. Proud to be a Texan! However, I did not grow up in a Christian home, but by the grace of God I heard the good news of Jesus Christ at the age of 12, and I called on Jesus to save me, forgive me of my sins, turn from my sins, and give me eternal life in heaven.
I surrendered my life to Christ in my bedroom at 3213 Commanche Street, Fort Worth, Texas. I’ve been following Jesus for 34 years now. Jesus Christ changed my life and I have not been the same since (2 Corinthians 5:17).
In addition to His saving grace in my life, God also “called me” into ministry at the age of 19. I’ve been serving Jesus and His church vocationally now for 20 years. It’s a joy to serve Him! My desire is “that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God (Acts 20:24b)."
God has blessed me with a beautiful wife, B.J., and two terrific sons, Avery and Austin. I love my family very much!
I also love my church family. I’ve had the privilege of serving ERBC as Student Pastor now for five years. I love students and desire to influence the next generation for Christ (Psalm 78:1-7).
I invite you to join me this Sunday to get connected to Jesus through Bible study, community, and worship. Hope to see you soon. God bless you, and if you haven’t heard it today, Jesus loves you! Romans 5:8
In Christ, Pastor John
